We start the day with a guided tour of the Missouri State Capitol & Museum.  Completed in 1917, the Capitol covers three acres in downtown Jefferson City. Inside the Capitol you will find the Missouri State Museum which features exhibits of outstanding historical significance. The Capitol tour will provide you with an excellent education on the State of Missouri and the structure that represents its home.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Canterbury Hill Winery & Restaurant before we experience the Total Solar Eclipse.  A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby totally or partly obscuring the image of the Sun for a viewer on Earth. A total solar eclipse occurs when the Moon's apparent diameter is larger than the Sun's, blocking all direct sunlight, turning day into darkness. Totality occurs in a narrow path across Earth's surface, with the partial solar eclipse visible over all of North America. This eclipse will be the first with a path of totality crossing the USA's Pacific coast and Atlantic coast since 1918 and not to happen again until 2045. Special viewing glasses will be provided.
Last but not least, we will make a stop at Central Dairy Ice Cream and enjoy a refreshing treat before returning home.
